Your first step is to write us a personal letter articulating what draws you to the Movement School and to our work. Write to us about your personal and professional aspirations. Let us know the thread that has run through your life that has led you to The Movement School. Write to us about anything you want us to know about yourself. After receiving your letter, Bruce Fertman will contact you to set up a phone interview. It is important to make sure that we are the right school for you - that the shoe fits.
After speaking with one another, we will ask you to study with us in an upcoming 3-day or 9 day retreat.
Toward the end of the retreat, time will be taken for you and Bruce to meet and talk together individually.
Through attending a retreat and meeting personally with Bruce, it will become clear whether joining The Movement School is a good choice for you.
If you are seriously considering joining The Movement School, contact us
soon, as class size is limited. We are now enrolling for our Teacher Training
Program beginning October 30, 2010. If you are seriously considering training,
it is also possible to arrange to visit with, and to work with Bruce for
two days, without charge.
Becoming a trainee at The Movement School means making a clear commitment to study over three years. Every single graduating class, for the past 25 years, has felt personally proud, and sad to see it end. Friends have been made for life. Most classes continue to meet and study together for years after they graduate. That is why we call ourselves a community/school because that is what we have become for people.
